Originating in Saguenay, Jocelyne Bouchard has exerted its talents of
illustrator in Montreal for more than twenty years. Artist with the
multiple facets, she draws and plays with the colors like the one
second nature. Of its roots, it kept the taste for nature and the
animals. It draws the inspiration from it to transmit the beauty of
the urban landscapes which it paints.
Formed in graphic Communication at the Laval University and Visual
arts with the CÉGEP of Jonquière, it worked as illustrator since
1986 near many advertising agency and publishers, in Quebec in Ontario
and the States Unis.
It carried out several exposures solo: "Glances on the street Cartier"
(1988) in Quebec, "Scenes of city" (1990) and "Retrospective of
illustrations" (1998) to the Coffee Talks, in the district Mount-Royal
Plate, in Montreal.
Illustrator of profession, Jocelyne Bouchard became "urban animalist
Painter".
Inspired by a kestrel of America observed in December 2003 in a lane
of the street De Lorimier, it sought to know some of advantage about
the fauna which cohabits with montréalais.
This passion enabled him to make two exposures: "animals downtown"
April 2005 at the house of the culture of Rosemont it Small-Fatherland
and in December 2005-January 2006 at the House of the Good Time of
River of the Meadows.
In June 2007 the book "Montreal nature downtown" was published at the
editions Michel Quintin. A very beautiful collection of thirty acrylic
fabrics and watercolours like thirty drawings with graphite. Let us
quote Jacques Samson of the Sun: " It is a small jewel of book, and I
join Frederic Back briskly when he writes: " Chief-of the?uvre alive
ones described with meticulousness and placed in these new landscapes
worked by the man ".
With this new exposure of Biodôme of April 26 to June 20 centered on
its "Birds of city" Jocelyne Bouchard the aillée fauna of Montreal
presents to you, and an outline of his future step gives you which
opens on the world and the birds of the other large cities.
